Pharmacists as Caregivers: Eboni Green, PhD - PPN Episode 671
PGX for Pharmacist host Ken Sternfeld, RPh., interviews (long time anticipated guest) Dr. Eboni I. Green. Eboni is a Registered Nurse and family caregiver. She holds a Ph.D. in human services, with a specialization in health care administration. She and her husband are cofounders of Caregiver Support Services, a nonprofit organization that offers training and consulting for family caregivers and front-line direct caregivers. In addition, she currently serves as contributing faculty for the College of Health Sciences at more than one university, where she teaches graduate courses in the health care administration program. Green has extensive experience focused on caregivers’ health and wellness, with an emphasis on caregiver stress, burnout, and related family conflicts. In 2002, she became the Nebraska State Representative for the Caregiver Acton Network. Most recently, she was appointed as chair elect on the Forum on Spirituality and Aging, the largest constituent group for the American Society on Aging. Green has contributed to a number of publications and given presentations that focus on training, assessing, and supporting caregivers throughout the caregiving journey. Green is a published author and has written two books focusing on family caregiving: At the Heart of the Matter and Caregiving in the New Millennium, and has a third book Reflections from the Soul that will be released in 2016.
